What is Overland Flores?
Overland Flores is a land tour designed to explore Flores Island thoroughly, deeply, and authentically. This journey is not merely about moving from one tourist spot to another, but an adventure to experience the life, culture, nature, and history of Flores up close.
During the Overland Flores trip, you will take a land route across mountains, valleys, forests, and coastlines with ever-changing and stunning views. You’ll be invited to explore traditional villages that still maintain their local wisdom, such as Wae Rebo Village located in the mountains with its iconic cone-shaped traditional houses and magical atmosphere.
This journey also allows you to enjoy the natural beauty of Flores, which remains pristine, such as Nuca Molas with its savanna landscape and contrasting blue sea, the unique spider web rice fields (Lingko) that can only be found in Flores, and the magnificent panorama of Mount Inerie, which stands tall and is one of the most photogenic mountains in East Nusa Tenggara.
Not only nature, Overland Flores is also rich in cultural and historical values. You will get to know the local community life at Bena Traditional House, understand ancestral traditions and philosophies passed down through generations, and visit the famous Kelimutu Lake with its three differently colored lakes and accompanying legends. The journey also traces the nation’s history, including a visit to Bung Karno’s exile house, which is an important witness to Indonesia’s historical journey.
Overland Flores to Kelimutu is a land tour package exploring the island of Flores from Labuan Bajo to Ende/Moni, with the highlight visit to the famous Kelimutu Three-Colored Lakes. This journey combines Flores’ natural scenery and cultural experiences, including traditional villages, beaches, and scenic hill landscapes, offering an authentic and memorable travel experience.
